How To Perform Umrah:
Preparation and Intention (Niyyah)
- Spiritual Preparation: Engage in sincere repentance and seek forgiveness from Allah. Make sure your intentions are pure.
- Physical Preparation: Ensure you are in a state of physical cleanliness. Perform Ghusl (full-body purification) and trim your nails and hair.
2. Entering the State of Ihram
- Ihram Clothing: For men, wear two white unstitched cloths; one wrapped around the waist (Izar) and the other draped over the shoulders (Rida). Women should wear modest and loose-fitting clothing that covers the body.
- Intention (Niyyah): Make the intention to perform Umrah and recite the Talbiyah
"Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaik La Sharika Laka Labbaik, Innal-Hamda Wan-Ni’mata Laka Wal-Mulk, La Sharika Lak."
(Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise, grace, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.)

- Supplications: You can recite any supplications or prayers during Tawaf. It is common to say, “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar” (In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest) as you pass the Black Stone.

5. Performing Sa’i
- Proceed to Safa: Walk to the hill of Safa and make the intention for Sa’i.
- Sa’i: Walk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah. Start at Safa and end at Marwah. One trip from Safa to Marwah is one count, and the return trip counts as another.

6. Shaving or Cutting Hair (Halq or Taqsir)
- For Men: Shave your head (Halq) or cut a portion of your hair (Taqsir). Shaving is preferred.
